Couldn't help myself...

Stealing this from imma_holiday. It's surprisingly addictive.

Pick 20 titles from any media (movies, video games, literary works, etc.) and find their summaries on Better than it Sounds. Have your friends guess without cheating.

Don't blame me if this causes you to spend hours surfing TV Tropes... )

Yes it is! How's that hiatus working out for you? ;)

(I should probably be on hiatus right now too, actually - I have a research paper due in a few days. But naturally, that means I'm posting and commenting all over the place. *rolls eyes*)

YES I WIN! Do you prefer the UK version or US?

Hiatus is good~ I'm not going cold-turkey cos I use the internet at work, but I've not touched my laptop while I've been home for a couple of weeks now :) No internet at all over the weekend~ weekends feel much longer that way, I like it!

It's hard to say. When the US version first started I was very unimpressed, considering that it just seemed like a poor remake of the UK one. But now it's gone in such a different direction that they're almost impossible to compare. I think I'll always like the UK version best, since I loved it first and it's much less in your face than the US one in a lot of ways. The Tim/Dawn romance was also... IDK, it was so quiet and depressing that it felt more meaningful there. I'm the sort of person who keeps hoping and hoping and hoping for couples to get together, but once they are together it's never as satisfying as the lead-up was. So as cute as Jim and Pam are starting a family and everything, it's just not the same. The US version is more of a fun watch, I think. It's blatantly entertaining. But the UK one fits my personal preferences better. (And, um, lol.) Aaaah, I want to rewatch it now ( ... )
