[Essay] Kira

So. This was going to be a complete essay - with canon backing and everything - on Fllay in the wake of Kira's departure but it can't be because, due to a wonderfully annoying misclick, I no longer have my canon and won't have it for another 60ish hours. Ergo, I have to work almost entirely off of memories from January which is why one should review one's canon when one says one's going to. XD;

Sooo... Fllay's devastated. Up until a couple days ago, camp was her second chance; she got to make amends with Kira and that's what she was living for at the end of the series, forgiveness and redemption in the eyes of her friends. So she got that here and she was happy and she could have stayed at camp forever, by choice, so long as that didn't change. But then it does and he leaves and she doesn't even get to see him again before it happens so ... yeah. She's not exactly in the happiest of places.

She told Rey that she believes camp is punishment, at least for the dead, and she completely believes it. She was given one of the things she wanted most, had it for 8 months, and then lost it all. He won't remember anything that happened and that's really getting to her. If she had any reason at all to believe that he wouldn't forget then it'd be a different story, but she doesn't. And she doesn't understand why it happened if not for punishment so ... in a good place, she is not. XD;

Fllay cries a lot in SEED but she also puts up a lot of fronts. Part of her denies that she's even hurt at all because she'd rather just be angry and bitter. It's less painful for her this way and besides that, there aren't many people at camp with whom she feels comfortable enough to be emotional.

So if she's spoken to, chances are she'll be bitter and angry. If she's asked if she's okay she'll insist that she is. If she's out and speaking with people then she's set up a strong emotional guard that she's determined not to break. And it won't break, not unless someone comes out and tells her that she's hurt or not until she's able to get over her bitterness on her own.

She'll be fine though ... she'll see past herself and realise that she's happy knowing that he's happier back home and yeah, it'll settle in that just because he might not remember what happened at camp it doesn't really change the sentiment behind it all.

... and I don't think I have anything else to say. XD
