Drabbles and an Identity Crisis

First the drabbles. I just posted another of the Round 2 Dramione_ldws drabbles over at GE (still to be approved), but I linked it to my readings of those drabbles. That got me listening to all the readings I did. And reading my old drabbles. And you know what? I am definitely entering the next ldws. I loved writing those. They were like little

'100 Moments' was really a lot of fun to do, and great practice to boot. You can find smaller tables in increments of 10s, I'll have to find the link for you.

I really loved listening to the readings... *blush* I just wish I could speak so well without being self-conscious.

I was completely self-conscious when I did the drabbles. Was surprised that I didn't sound 5 years old. I used iGarage that COMES ON YOUR NEW MAC - so USE IT!

Man, that's so weird. I feel like I'm having similar problems, but it's all confusing and backwards. I'm trying to maintain some emotional distance between Hermione and Draco in the next chapter of L&O and Draco is having none of it. Their interactions are so difficult to write when they're not having sex!

And then I thought I'd write some drabbles or something to expand my horizons, so I did a short Trio and a short H/D/Hr, and Harry, who I think of as a rather nice, normal boy most of the time, I swear is turning out to be the dirtiest of the three! I've never written Harry or Ron before, so I'm not sure what to think of all of it. People are definitely different when they do anything sexual, but I don't want them to get too far out of character. Gah!

Good luck with finding your dirty self again. We're all rooting for you!

lol. Man, I know what you mean. I had similar problems a chapter or two ago. I discovered two things. 1. When my characters are confuses, I am confused. It took a lot of talking out with my beta and f-list. and 2. the exact same thing happened with CH. I had the idea that they wouldn't get emotionally close, and I figured out (after a lot of hair pulling) that I was not letting their "thing" evolve naturally. Just something to think about.

And Harry is dirtier and kinkier than Draco any day. And he brings with it a darkness and power that can be unnerving and awesome. I think it has to do with all the shit he's gone through.

That's really good advice, and I've noticed it a bit already. I just want to be sure that Draco is still acting like Draco and not like the person I want him to be. I think it'll be all right.

Yeah, I'm beginning to see that. Naughty Harry! It's been fun trying to figure out what kind of people these characters would be sexually based on how they are in their public lives. I mean Ron's always out to prove himself so maybe he wants to be in control, but then Harry's pretty powerful too and I always think that Hermione will easily come out of her shell with enough coaxing from a boy like Draco or Harry. Definitely fun to write!

I think Ron is a Dom - a sweet one, Harry is a switch - a raw and kinky one, and Hermione is a sub - a most eager one.
