Prisoner of Azkaban

First, correction. It's the next movie with bad Harry Hair, but it also has lovely Weasley Twins. *big smile*

What can I say about PoA? Between Snape in drag and the Trio angst hug moment when Buckbeak (doesn't) get executed... it equals win.

And Ron playing his sympathy card with Hermione made me laugh out loud: yeah, it might ( Read more... )

Aren't the twins the best? Gah! I love them! They are the characters I wish I really did know. I would form a pathetic obsessive crush on one or both in a second.

No denying he shows some serious promise in these pics and in the movie.

It's my favorite of all the movies (and the books, too).

Hi, Ilkee

PoA is my favorite of the HP films, and it's my second favorite of the books behind HBP. I told Dyno this once in an email when we were discussing the films. I said that the film makers got this one right, and if they get HBP right (So HOPING),I'd be satisfied. I LOVE the cinematography in PoA. It's such a PRETTY film to watch. I LOVE all the Trio and Harry/Hermione moments, and the introduction of Sirius, Remus (chocolate cures all ills--heehee and that touching scene where he tells Harry about his parents--SNIFFLE!!!), and the Marauder's background. Snape in drag is a HOOT so is Ron's tapdancing spider, and then, there's Felton. This is the movie where I started drooling over him (and feeling VERY guilty for it), and seeing potential for Radcliffe (OoTP brought that to potential to fruition, IMHO). Harry's Patronus is the first real example of the power this wizard will wield someday. I LOVE that moment too.

That second pic is REALLY YUMMY!!!

What is not to love really? I agree about Tom and Dan and their emergence as hottnesses. Yeah, I think I might change my fave to that second pic too.... Good God, * love*

ITA. I really wish Alfonso Cuaron had come back to do more. This was a great transition from the the first two, which were more kiddie, to the darker films to come. My favorite image is of those flowers frosting over when the Dementors are near. The music is even great! And, I'm probably reading this in knowing Cuaron directed Y tu mama tambien, but I love the physicality among the trio. And the messiness most of them (except, fittingly, the Slytherins) exhibit in their hair and clothing, which, I think, reflects the way kids actually are.

And yeah, this is my favorite Draco, all around. Before he was barely even in them anymore. *waits impatiently for HBP*

Finally, Gary Oldman. 'Nuff said.

Hi, eevilalice

I agree Cuaron should have directed more. :( Sometimes I think the reason that he didn't has more to do with Y tu mama tambien. His association with that film could have put parents of the young HP fans off. I think that he was definitely the best director though as well as being the most visual director. I like visual films. It's one of the reasons why my favorite genre is westerns/period pieces. I remember those flowers frosting over too as well as the Hogwarts train window icing over...those scenes were chilling (no pun intended). And, the BEST Trio moments to date are in this film.

These are the best pics of him so far. I cannot wait to see the movie in July. I hope they will get a picture of him when he is looking at himself in the mirror in Moaning Myrtle's loo. His anguish there is so palpable. I am not embarrassed to say that this blond god is responsible for many of my wet dreams. He is so hot.
