So, I don't want to over-poem you, but fuck it, it's good for you. *smirk* eevilalice and I were discussing the Neruda poem, and I touched on this theme in that post, but here is some expounding on it

OMG, I was smiling a mile wide at this poem, then I too began to Potterise it, and felt guilty for doing so, saying to myself, "snap out of it, she's not meaning it in that context, act sophisticated for goodness sakes!", and lo and behold....*snort*! It was soooo Dramione, my fav line has to be "Or that your thighs are lilies --- lilies are cold, lilies are neither quick or scented --- they do not stain the night with velvet musk ------ they cannot fire love and quench it." How frickin' hot is that???? Beautiful ilkee, just lovely! *gives puppy dog eyes for CH*
First, Potterize=awesome. Second, yeah, fuck it! It IS good for us!
Third...I can see I'm going to have to attempt this repetition trick. Or the thing-as-a-thing...thing. Oh, man; I swear I haven't been drinking or doing any illicit drugs. The poem has obviously fried the lyric pleasure zone(s) in my brain.
Love the lines you pointed out, but also "you walk proudly like a woman courted" and everthing with the lilies. Hm...maybe inspiration for a cunt flowers poem? ;)
The idea of Draco in love is just endlessly fascinating, given what little we have to go on in the books. I guess that's one reason why I read almost exclusively Draco-shipped fic.
God, I swoon at Draco in love. Fanon Draco is so beautifully fucked up. I'm so glad I don't know anyone like that in real life.
lol@ thing as a thing. What a great way to put that. It's so strange how I've been guarding this concept. It's so... mold-breaking that everyone should let it sink into their awareness.
I enjoy the beautiful fuckup that is Fanon Draco as well, though I think there are multiple Fanon Dracos, and not all of them are created equal. Strangely, a too fluffy or heroic Draco (fluffy or heroic from a story's beginning, anyway) does not require I keep the smelling salts handy. I need my snark, damn it!
Love this. It reminds me of Sonnet 130 by Shakespeare, for some reason. Which by the way, if you are a Harry Potter fan, I recommend you listen to Alan Rickman read it.
