Notice to Niece About a Breakup

Outside the jewelry store with its gleam and bling bling,
A bee beats it's wings against the window. Outside: a series of fantastical flowers, silks and taffetas
Bunched craftily and strung.

I would be too. I heard of an ex-high school student that she was so happy with her BF of over three years I believe and the berk cheated on her. I was told she was a mess. The sister we also know and I hope she will be there for her to help her heal. Unless I am getting the meaning of the poem wrong. I feel bad for the bees. My daughter's friend called herself a penguin. Last year she even sang the Penguin song to him at the last choirs presentation. I feel bad for her. Thank you for sharing this lovely poem.
