"Bloody hell John." Nikola muttered eyes catching the rather familiar sight of John Bloody Druitt. Scowling at him, Nikola moved quick over to his 'old friend' and snatched his notebook from John's hand. "Oh, I'm sorry you try and figure an interdimensional, time travelling device using scraps. Oh, no wait you can't because you're a homicidal idiot."

"Come now, surely that sort of thing is entirely uncalled for," John said, giving Nikola a lazy smile. Bothering the other man was always rather enjoyable, even if it killed him to do it at times.

"And I assure you that I am quite myself now. Speaking of madness... I see you're wearing the mustache again. Is that at the behest of your boyfriend?"

"Really? And how many times have you belittled my work and tried to kill me. Try being the operative word," Nikola muttered, scowling as John made himself comfortable. Really? Of all the bloody people it couldn't have been James, oh no. John Bloody Druitt. "It's a classic, I always suited facial hair whilst you oh I'm sorry I forgot you don't have any hair whatsoever."

Nikola took the bottle of wine, going to pour himself a drink. He certainly needed one if he was going to be dealing with John. "My what? What on Earth ever gave you that little idea? Or rather who?"

"Fewer times than I did Helen but more then I did James," John admitted. Of course, Nikola had tried to kill him an equal number of times. And considering that John had been a homicidal maniac, he thought that was saying something of Nikola.

"And come now, you think that I wouldn't brush up on how all my old colleagues are doing?"
