England Vs Algeria

*SOBS IN FRUSTRATION*

I have no words for how craply we played tonight and if we can't beat Algeria then we have no chance to go anywhere at all ever. We looked like we'd never seen a ball before in our lives  AND THE WHOLE DISPLAY WAS PATHETIC!

David Beckham was the best thing about the England team and I would have been perfectly content to watch ( Read more... )

Yeah I saw, I wonder, they didn't had enough time to play together?? I know they have great soccer players but they didn't seem to get the playing together thing.

So sorry, and if you divorce the Eng team... we are taking new members ;) hugs!!

Well, I know all the players had a busy years with their clubs, etc and I don't think they had as much time together as they would have liked but they should have played better then that.

I'll keep that in mind ;) I want to divorce them but my heart rules my head so I'll keep dying for them to win and be disappointed when we play like this :(

It was a disaster. See, I thought this match would be better then the USA one and now, I don't know what to think.

individually these guys are great players but they are not playing well as a team. I said the same thing for years when the Yankees kept loosing in the playoffs. you can put a super star in every position but if they don't play as a team its not worth the money

I agree and this has been England's problem for years and yet these players know each other. They play against each other at club level but can't gel as a team.

I don't even know what to think anymore. Both my teams (England and Nigeria) are sucking like straws out there. It's a disaster! :-(

At least there were no howlers like the one last Saturday. I do feel sorry for Green, though; it would have been a real confidence booster if he'd been shortlisted to play today. But since James didn't let any in, it's a win for me. Plus, I like David James better. I think he's well fit. ;-)

Very much a disaster. I think Nigeria played some good football until they were reduced to 10 men by a moment of madness.

David James is beautiful :) And TBH, I like Green but I want to know that there's a safe pair of hands guarding our goal and James is the only one to inspire that in me. He should have been the first choice all along as far as I'm concerned.

Well rooting for them is like a reflex to me but I know what you're saying. No idea what's going on with them :(
