Lost in the annals of history!

Upon much pondering, I've come to the conclusion that the Legion having no idea who Chloe Sullivan is as being just ridiculous. They know of details from Clark's high school years yet they have no idea who his best friend was. They know of Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen and I just can't believe there would be no mention of her cousin and his wife. No ( Read more... )

Oh silly you, trying to make sense of Smallville. It can't be done. Don't waste brain cells on it.

They used the "We know your future but we can't tell you about it," on Lana. It would be redundant to do that with more than one character. Making Chloe's future unknown by everyone makes her the big question mark. She's the wildcard in the series. She's the one who can change everyone's future. By refusing to give us even a hint at of her fate they create drama, speculation and discussion.

Barring outside forces (e.g., the network, budget cuts, etc.) I suspect we won't know Chloe's fate until the last episode of the series. Doing anything before then means they've played their wildcard and removed drama out from the series.

You're right of course and I guess that's what they were going for. I just wished it made more sense and like I've said I wish the Legion had hinted but not revealed. They didn't even have to say anything, just glance at each other to imply, "whoa".

Chloe's in listed in a history book because Clark sends her ahead to the future to keep her safe.

Evidence?

"To the Future" - Chloe
"To the Future" - Picture of Chimmy, and then Irma asks "Who is Chloe Sullivan".

Three possible reasons why Chloe is not listed with Clark Kent.

1. She dies -- (Not possible, Main Character says, "Chloe Sullivan doesn't die" "You don't know me as well as you think.

2. She assumes a new name -- pen names, possibly Chloe=Lana or Chloe=Lois. (I think "Hex" will do a lot to discount this idea.)

3. Clark decides Chloe is too close to his heart and sends her ahead to a future where knowing he's an alien isn't dangerous.

I can honestly see reasons why all three girls might skip ahead ot the future, but the reason why Chloe's not in the history books is because she's too important to Clark.

If she wasn unimportant, Brainiac wouldn't have have chose her in the first place.

Clark learned an extremely important lessons.

Those are all possibilities, of course I doubt Chloe=Lana.

I'm not sure what to think on that. I don't get Saturn Girl.

They did suggest Clark didn't mention her in order to protect her, maybe wiping her from his history. Protecting her from his secret seems to be a big concern for him.

Of course and I considered that but it just didn't seem to fit. I think, I'm thinking about it too much. I guess we wait and see what they do with her at the end of the series :)
