wrt the touch typing question, for the longest time I couldn't and then two years ago or so I taught myself, got through all the lessons in a course, and stuck with typing like that, rather than giving up because it was so much slower at first as I had in all previous attempts, but now I'm really bitter: While I can now type without looking at the keyboard, which is admittedly nice, I'm *still* not faster than my really slow typing before (though at least not slower anymore), and it isn't supposed to take you that long to get faster. I feel cheated, because I still haven't even reached "average" typing speed which supposedly is more than 60 words per minute. >:(
