• H/t to miss_porcupine: Casting spoilers for Criminal Minds S6. After an incredibly underwhelming S5 finale, this news is not making me feel better about CM. Maybe if they weren't spending time and money on the craptastic spinoff, things could be better managed with the actual important show

Yes, if it was just JJ being cut I would have been a little sad but I wouldn't really mind that much. But I adore Prentiss and given how it seems like none of the guys seem to be facing cuts and how the wording doesn't seem to indicate it's Brewster looking for an out...it's just not sitting right with me. The stupid finale is probably contributing to my crankiness with the writers/show runners too :/

Dude, whether it's for "financial" or "creative" reasons, the CM casting decision sucks. When your OFFICIAL reason for cutting 2 out of 3 women in your predominantly male cast is because they're NOT INTERESTING ENOUGH, I think it's time to FIRE THE WRITERS, NOT THE ACTORS. WTF? DDD:

Yes! And this is a show I always recommended for its well-rounded female characters. The back end of season 5 has just been annoying me with various problems with the spinoff bleh and majorly underwhelming finale. Bah. I've loved CM for a long time, this is really not making me happy.
