What an interesting evening. It's been raining here all day, so when the storm started about eight, I was really startled by the rain suddenly slamming into my window. I didn't realize it was so bad outside! As my roommate and I were making these observations to each other, the lights suddenly flickered, then died. Then came back. Then went away.

I've heard that the year before I went there/two years before y'all started, the main parts of campus had a water outage. No showers, no toilets, no washing hands - *nothing.* People had to go down to the gym to take showers, and there were some nasty port-a-potties on the Bell Quad. Hopefully you guys won't be *that* unlucky. *g*

That said, eek! Getting stuck in the elevator sounds uber-creepy. I'd have to avoid enclosed spaces for a week or two. Karlene is a stronger woman than I.

Ugh. That must have been awful! I hope so to, I couldn't imaginehaving to go to a port-a-potty just to pee everyday. Not to metion other things. :p

Yeah, I think it makes Karlene a stronger woman than most, really. Especially since remained so cheerful. It does sound really creepy. The one thing that kept flashing through my head was the elvevator scene in "Resident Evil." Dis-gus-ting. ugh.

No, I'd say that this year's first years brought it in! >:-) We already brought our own year of what might be seen as misfortune to the school, we've done our share.

Completely agree with you about the state school thing. Alas!

Hmm, that could be true...damn those first years! 'Tho, it would be funny to see if there is another bad disaster next year as well, so then we would really be blamed for it! 2006, the Cursed Class! Whooo!

Yeah, isn't that state school thing a bitch? *snort* Sometimes I wonder what it would be like going to an easier school...^_^;;;
