The opportunities sound pretty good and financial jobs usually pay very well (depending on the job function). Perhaps your skills have outgrown your current position. The situation is pretty touchy in general.
They do, and I would like an opportunity to make a bit more money, but I don't actually want to leave my current job. The pay may suck, but I do enjoy the environment and the people. I think I can learn more there, about myself, what I want for the future, and about office work in general. Plus, switching medical insurance might not be the best idea right now, you know?
Remember, no one can ever call you paranoid when you're right. I say if the money is better, go for it. You will always meet cool people wherever you go. As excited as I was about moving 'up North', it was terrifying, but now I have dinner parties to go to and cafes that I like and the cashier at the local natural foods place knows my name. Don't fear change! :)
Just because you don't have an accounting background doesn't mean you can't be really good at it. Not to put down your skills in any way, but it's often incredible how incompetent the competition often turns out to be. I wouldn't worry about the health insurance...there should be some kind of way you can rollover, like with 401(k)s, but it might be a good idea to talk with someone who would know more about that.
