I think Moffat is an excellent choice, but I find myself surprisingly ambivalent about Davies leaving. I had plenty of complaints about season one and two, but I also liked a lot of stuff and from the Martha era on I can't remember an episode I didn't think was quite good. This probably means I'll never have to suffer through another one of Davies' regrettable reality show parodies or "Neighbors" cameos, but the stuff he did that drove me nuts was balanced by his incredibly effective drama and a lot of genuine wit. I loved his quiet insistence on including GLBT themes, too.

I suppose he's gonna stick with Torchwood and Sarah Jane? I haven't heard anybody talk about that.

Tennant is the one whose departure I'm REALLY dreading. I was fine with Eccelson leaving, he was very good in the role but it didn't hurt to see him go. But Tennant has made the role his own, and his Doctor seems so alive and feisty... the idea of watching him die is no fun at all!
