Memories

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want--good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

I can remember the first time we talked about SP, when you mailed me about your "National Trash" story after Raisins aired.

I was sorta shocked, yet at the same time sorta happy that there was another fellow fan in the SP fandom that understood me to some extent. At that time, I was still stuck on whether I wanted to come back or not, as I had had horrible experience in the fanfiction SP world before (which we discussed a bit).

I wondered whether or not to go ahead with the small fanfiction plans that I had, if people would still tear me apart like they did. I was still nervous indeed. But after meeting some other fans out there on the net, and when you convinced me to give it another shot, I decided to take that chance.

That's my memory. It may not sound like much, but that was the first thing that came to mind.

Hmm... well, I've only recently begun to get to know you, so I'd have to give the same answer you gave for me, with the whole panicking over Marjorine and the outburst of anger after Follow That Egg, and the planning of our petition.

I remember seeing your first post at SPS. It was after Good Times With Weapons had aired, and I was really pissed about Butters' horrible treatment in the episode. I was beating people in the episode discussion thread, seeing them talking about funny it was, and someone even said they masturbated when it happened. When I first saw your post I thought you would say the same things, but after reading it, I thought it was awesome that you felt as enraged as I did. I thought I was the only person in the world who was so passionate about defending Butters. What was even better about your defending was that you made a well-written rant about it, instead of just beating people with random items. :P

I think our ranting is what made AWESOM-O turn out the way it did. I feel like that episode was made for people like you and me. :)

That's kinda how I feel about Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset, even though Butters was abused there which takes away from the enjoyability of this otherwise solid episode.

I wasn't a member of the BBS when Good Times With Weapons first aired, but I did see it when it first aired and I didn't like Butters' treatment either. I must admit the episode had me hooked when that happened 'cause I was curious what was going to happen next, but I really didn't like where it was going. They were doing nothing to help poor Butters and that was getting on my nerves. I remember when I first saw the ninja star in his eye (non-anime) I gasped in shock, and I cringed at the poor kid's pain. The next day at school, one of my friends was talking about how funny that was and I just kinda went along, heh heh, yeah, whatever. I changed the subject to other parts of the episode which I found funny, such as the Janet Jackson spoof and the Let's Fighting Love song.
