Resolute in a new year

Typically around this time of year, I'm getting ready for the Big 10...a New Year's resolution focused on shedding the bit of fluff I tend to accumulate in the latter half of the year. What great goals for 2012! :D I actually made our own laundry detergent for the first time a couple months ago and I LOVE it! It works great, smells subtle but great, and it saves us a TON of money! ;)

Have you ever considered starting with like a herb garden? My general feeling for a vegetable garden is for the amount I want to eat, it simply would not grow fast enough but herbs seems something like I wouldn't be able to use fast enough unless it was like basil. :)

And thrifting is awesome. In Japan it was like a constant goldmine finding stuff. I went nearly once a week to look through the House-Off/Book-Off (chain of recycle shops in Japan). I found tons and tons of great stuff for next to nothing.
