I randomly did a google search for my last name and "chemistri" the company I used to work for to see if I could find any press releases from them about me. What came up instead was my LiveJournal entry talking about how I was leaving the company. It majorly creeped me out that Google can search my LJ, so I paid $5 to get a paid 2 month account

you have the right to ensure security measures for the content you post, but once it's posted i don't think there's much you can do. i believe public access is the assumption of all content posted, in terms of accessibility. especially where blogs are concerned.
if someone were to take your words and use them as their own, or steal an idea you wrote about, or stalk you, or something, then you could probably raise a sincere grievance. but just being able to view your old posts is probably not something you could prevent at this point.
