Then the knowledge of what day it is filters down into Matt's sleep-muddied brain. His eyes fly open.

"God, I love you."

He gives him a kiss, and wishes there were some better way to say this, because it isn't coming close to expressing how overwhelming it feels.

He reaches up to brush a stray eyelash off Matt's cheek.

Matt did the opposite, refusing to let himself think about it more than he had to case he jinxed the day. It could become an oddly mixed sort of anniversary, if he let himself dwell on it.
"I was nervous. Is that weird?"

He laughs, and rests his cheek on Matt's shoulder. It seems so funny, now, in retrospect. As though this could have gone any way but well.

Lacing his fingers with L's, and tugging their hands close enough that he can kiss L's fingers.
"I don't know if they really count as - I got some lame things for you. It'll be better when we're in the real world again."

He smooths his hand up Matt's side.
"Sex before or after breakfast?"

But he understands why L did. Matt's done the same, after all.
"Can't we do both?" A grin, and Matt leans forward to bite lightly on L's lower lip. "Special occasion."
