So I'm taking this BORING survey of Western Art class on tuesday and thursday evenings. I decided that my goal was just to pass the damn thing, don't worry about an A. So I had a test thursday that I didn't start studying for until that morning. Woefully unprepared. Yet I check online and I have (overall in the class) 117.1 out of 115 points. I got

You are awesome, about the art class except that you should learn to love it. I loved History of Western Art for some reason. I still remember stuff from that high school class, back in 1995. Wow. I even passed the AP exam so I didn't have to take any art classes in college. That was a bummer though.

We have no idea if it's a boy or girl, so best to be prepared. And I do love art, art and art history is my major. But the thing about this class is since it's summer, we have to fly through it, so we learn the basics of all of it, but nothing specific. I'd like it a lot more if we concentrated on something for more than one hour total. But that's why I supplement. In fact we're learning about the greeks right now, so in honor, the movie Troy will be arriving from Netflix tomorrow :D . BTW, did you see The Frisco Kid yet?

And I had to laugh that once again, we're both awake way past our bedtimes.

Oh wow! I definitely didn't know art history is your major. Are you just starting out ... or how far along are you in this degree? Do you have other degrees? How old are you anyway?

Well last night was Tim's fault. I was in bed at like 11:00 but when he wouldn't come in, I went to check at like 12:15, and there was the computer beckoning me, so alas.

Well I started college originally 12 years ago and went for 2 1/2 years, then joined the army, then left the army and met Chris, then moved to Lou, then he joined the Navy and we've been either moving or having babies ever since. So I haven't been in one place long enough to go back to school without putting the kids in daycare. So when we moved here I decided I would finish. So this past spring I went part time since the kids were in school (Gavriella was in part time preschool though) with the idea of going full time in the summer or fall and putting Gavriella in full time preschool. But then a week or 2 after school started I found out I was pregs again, and due in sept, which totally fucks up going to school AT ALL. And I could just suck it up and put this babe in day care come spring, but I won't be able to finish before I leave. So now I'll have to wait until our next duty station to finally finish, and I'll probably just put the babe in day care. Whch sucks (you're a stay at home mom, you know what I mean), but I HAVE TO FINISH

I like Amelie for a girl name. How do you pronounce it? My first try sounded like Emily except with the A as in apple sound at the beginning.

I dunno, when I hear Amelie, I automatically think of that movie starring Audrey Tatou.

Coincidentally, I've never seen the movie.

Yeah and so will everyone else I figure. But I don't care. It is a good movie btw. Even Chris liked it (ok he probably liked HER more than the movie, but it gave him something pretty to look at).

Well I love the name, and I think I suggested it as a possible girl's name for me and Pete, but he didn't like it.

Way to go on the test. BTW, I dropped Netflix, not because I didn't like them but because it's been about 3 weeks since I've even sat in my living room, let alone watched anything on tv. Although, i will tonight as my boss said the new RockStar: Supernova is pretty good. Dave Navarro, weeeeee!
