Oh this was great. I love the outsider's view of Sheppard and co. And a basketball tourney! Brilliant. And lovely Vala, always finding a way to land on her feet.

I loved this fic! Vala is one of my favorite female characters! I thought you did a great job portraying the characters. Vala is totally underrated as character. She is thief..so what. That mean she is able to plan in advance and think on her toes, which is important.

Then, suddenly remembering something, she dashed back and leaned over the table towards Sheppard. "What was that man's name, again? You know, the unattractive one. Never mind," she backed away as his expression soured, "I'll find him myself later and ask. I'm sure he's got a wonderful personality!"

I loved this part. I could totally see her doing this! I watch a show that had a tactical team made up of Dr Brown, Vala, Dr. Zelenka, and Random Unattractive Marine! It would be great. In fact you should write a companion fic, of this team, one where elizabeth decides to try it out on some random, safe mission. possible? Please?

I would watch that show, too! Not sure whether I will ever write it, but they would be the greatest team, for serious. :D
