Beautiful (for me) has undercurrents of classy, Hot has undercurrents of sexy.

You might call an eight year old beautiful, but I hope you wouldn't say they were hot.

In adults, "hot" is almost interchangeable with "fuckable"

I'm gonna have to think on this one! Because I have definitive answers on both, but in my mind they're equally hot AND beautiful...? So, Imma answer this tomorrow. LOL

Somewhat off-topic:

I was at the maul today, and at the Lancome counter, they have a two-eyeshadow palette called Pink Pavé. If it had been a brand that didn't cost over $9,000, I'd have gotten it for you!

On topic:

Beautiful, to me, is of the entire person. Possibly their face, but mostly their spirit -- something I see in them.

Hot isn't all about looks, but it's all about "hey, baby, what you doin' later??" Or not necessarily that far, but like Eldritch said, more about sexy.

hot = inspires lust
beautiful = inspires love
The same person can be both, either or neither.

Yes, I just answered a question with a mere 15 words. What are you looking at? :)

I think "hot" has more to do with raw attraction and beauty is for classic...well, beauty. More traditional, agree with the idea that it implies class.

I think about this a lot in terms of "pretty" or "beautiful" or "hot" vs. "cute."
