Funny, "North Carolina" doesn't sound like "Bliss." And yet...

I ended up being the only parent in town. Sorry I missed your call, butI'm glad you enjoyed yourself. This heat, my dear, is AWFUL btw, you are NUTS to sit out in it!!

But the humidity is so low, it doesn't feel that hot to me - I honestly thought it was about 85 until I looked.

No worries, I thought that might've been the case. You were missed though, and not just by me :P

Perhaps we can get together before the end of the month. It would be great to see you.

There were plenty of people there...6 of us at our table...you just didn't bother to go inside. We got there at 4:00 and missed the BBQ too. I guess they only have it for the kickoff. Most of the bands were really good.

We could hear the bands outside, and as I commented - we never did go in, for a couple of different reasons, including the fact that we are in the process of finishing up 'roo packing and getting-of-stuff (food, water, gas for an 11-hour road trip each way), so the $20 for the inside bits wasn't in the budget. We went for the free parts only, knowing it was a risk.

We did hang out for about an hour, perusing, and enjoyed it. Just wasn't worth hanging out for more for us.

I've posted from my front porch swing so I know the *bliss* of that :D And if it gets too hot; can always go to the back yard and jump in the pool (well, not with the laptop of course).

Laundry, ugh - I so need to do that and clean the whole rest of the house while I'm at it. Weekend sounds lovely - I want a milkshake. A watermelon one from Cook Out; don't think they come out until July though.

Well, the pool isn't a luxury we have, but I can go inside and wallow on the couch with HotRod and the girls.

I seem to be the only one in this household that is loving this weather.

well you're more than welcome to come swims in my pool :D I don't mind it got outside when it's not sticky and nasty; I moved away from FL to get away from that mess.

even tho' my a/c was broken all week/end, i wasn't that miserable at all... i have fans & curtains....
in fact, mum & i were having a convo yesterday about how incredibly low the humidity was! when i was out driving around with the windows down, i noticed that it felt like "desert heat" breezing by...
{in that, the breeze wasn't so much cooler than the actual heat in the car... '-}

i also enjoyed the chance to take a nice *cool* bubble-bath.... *heh*
