My Live Journal is all 'jacked up'. All formatting is gone, most links do not work, and I no longer can access my previous posts, including my library of stories. Just curious; 1) first of all if I can even post - thus this entry 2) If anyone is familiar with this issue and knows how to resolve it 3) If anyone can access my posts (just curious ( Read more... )

Alrighty then. Thanks for testing it. :) I was surprised that I could post at all or even reply, but some features seem to work. It's just not formatted as a journal. Its just a bunch of text (void of any pics or headings and such) and I have to scroll down a few miles to get to any given link. Bizarre.

Thanks tho.

Ok great! Thanks for the assist. At Marea's suggestion, I tried a new browser. The old one is still 'jacked', but at least I can easily access the site now.

3) I can access links and I see no issues with your LJ. It looks nice and good.

Have you tried another browser? I used to have issues with 'scrambled' websites on Internet Explorer, when the same sites showed up perfectly fine with Firefox. Firefox displays MRO just fine, while IE turns the site into a quilt with all the pics wherever it wants to put them.

Also with IE it's hell to post on LJ, because nothing seems to work as it should, (LJ-cut, insert pics or links would only work when IE felt like it). But now that I use Opera (and sometimes Firefox, but that is more my daughter's browser) I don't have that problem anymore.

Ugh! So frustrating. But thanks for testing it. I was half wondering if I should delete the account, but I guess I will leave it be, since its just me having issues. Great idea about the browser. I'm on IE and Chrome and have the same issue with both, but I will try another in a while and see if that does anything. Thanks for the suggestion!

You are a GENIUS! I had tried both of the browsers I currently use, but when both had the same issue I ruled it out as a cause. But after your post, I downloaded Firefox and everything is just as it should be. I don't get why that happens, but better to have several browsers than to just lose access to data.

Honestly, I don't write like I used to, but the thought of losing all that work had me bummed.

Much appreciated!

Not a genius, I'm afraid, just someone with 'experience'.

The issues with IE were just too numerous, I hardly ever use it anymore, especially not after a warning was issued here in Holland last year that IE was not safe anymore because it 'helped' hackers.

And though apparently the leak has been dealt with and it's supposed to be 'safe' again, I kept having issues with it.

So for now, I'm just sticking to Opera for me and Firefox for my daughter, so we're not in each other's ways. (We both have Facebook/Twitter/YouTube and other accounts so the constant switching was annoying.)
