February Crafting
Unfortunately February wasn't the most productive knitting month for me. Not only is the month shorter, but changing jobs has made it a bit hectic to sqeeze in any knitting time. Stashdown 2011
Well it's no secret that I love yarn. I probably have enough to last me for at least 5 year's worth of knitting and crochet projects. Every New Year I tell myself I need to go on a yarn diet, which usually never happens. If Only It Paid The Bills
I've been comtemplating adding yarn dyeing to my crafty repertoire. I ogle all of the gorgeous hand dyed yarns on etsy constantly. I even buy a skein from time to time and add it to my ever growing stash. And now I finally have the space to dapple in it. Now if I only had the time. Get Crafty, Part I
It's been a bit since I've posted about my latest craft endeavors. Homeownership has left me busier then anticipated, it's a good thing I suppose. Sadly, I knew what I was getting into when we got our house. It had a yard. A sizeable yard but nothing too huge. I do like that fact that we have trees. 40+ trees. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually longing for the gray days of Winter. I miss having those lazy weekends where you spend the entire weekend in your PJs and watching bad movies/TV. Fuck Snow
There. I said it. I absolutely hate that fluffy, cold white crap. I have no idea how I managed to survive 20+ years living in that shit every winter in Indiana. Atlanta winters are just barely tolerable. 50s during the day. 30s at night. Just cold enough that you can justify wearing hand knit items. But this recent cold snap blows. ( Read more... ) -
Home Sweet Split Level Home
Now that we're pretty much moved in and unpacked, I figured I'd share some photos of our semi-furnished home. House living has taken some getting used to. There's a lot more responsibility compared to apartment living. But the extra space, shorter commute, and better neighbors are totally worth it.
