That's honestly just what some people do. There are websites such as 4chan and cosplayfcuks that are purposely made to mock bad cosplayers. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that are "bad cosplayers" because they may not have as much skill as other people at making things. That's like that in all things though so it's not a surprise. Most of the people that mock the cosplayers are mocking the costume, the person, the photographer (in this case), and their friends. It's a battle of I'm better than you and the players are anywhere from 12 years old to 35 years old. There's a kind of cruelty in humanity that makes mocking other people a sport and a challenge.

I was tempted to post in his "community", but I guess I've just seen and dealt with so much of this kind of crap over the years that I've become desensitized a bit to it, and I usually just adopt a "don't feed the Troll" approach. Idiot's like that usually just want attention. If they don't get it, they get bored and find some other way to get attention instead.

Actually right now my goal is to make Six Apart realize that they cannot support someone that makes blatantly racist comments on an open community as another way to mock people. LJ has refused to take down the community because allegedly it is not violating any of the TOS rules. But once again 6A has decided that it would be better to support someone's "free speech" in this way but not in the hundreds of other ways that they have removed journals and communities.
