All the appreciation of Harry Lloyd - as Baines now that the Human Nature two-parter is airing even in the U.S., and even as a prospective eleventh Doctor in some eyes - brought this one to mind. ( I'm pretty sure this isn't a spoiler for anything. )

Gad! It's an even crueller ending -- the Doctor has sentenced him to hang from the hands of that clock for all eternity.

I think "rumor" is too strong a word for it. "Speculation", or "wish", maybe.

In the book, one of the Family posed as the Tenth Doctor to get closer to Benny ("The last I saw of you, you were queen of an entire planet with six husbands." "Goodness. At least that gives me Sunday off!")...
Why are we worried about Eleven, anyway? We can has Doktar wif longer lief than ratties, Y/Y?
