Next time, after having typed the content of your post, try to highlight the part you want to put under a cut with the cursor and then click on the button "Insert LJ-cut", write the text you want to insert in the cut link and you should be alright.

I don't use the buttons to do an LJ-cut, I always just type out the code by hand. Much easier that way.
