Funny, I never thought about DW as an intergalactic version of the Scooby Gang, but I could totally see it! Might apply more to the Ten Era, though, considering that he had so many present and former companions bouncing in and out of his life (Capt. Jack, Martha, Donna, Rose, Sarah Jane, K-9), not to mention Ten 2.0.
