OMG MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY /crais forever and longs for Donna

"The most clever companion ever" pisses me off. All the companions are awesome in their own ways. They don't need to one up each other.

Last time I saw her at a Gallifrey One convention (about 2004), Janet Fielding was talking about a previous convention (a bit meta, but stay with me). They had a lineup of all of the actresses to play companions, in order, and they all stated why they were not typical companions. When it got to Janet, she bucked the trend and said that she WAS a typical companion, because she got lost and trapped and screamed for help and generally didn't have a clue what was going on. That earned her back a lot of respect from me.

Trying to rank companions in order is like trying to rank Doctors. What next - "TARDIS Traveller Of The Month"?

I've been thinking the same thing too. I mean, Rose is pined for (like the fjords), Martha did the impossible in traveling the world, Donna had to turn left, Jack got his own spin-off, and now Amy is the most important evar? Um, no.
