Technically the Rani would be a better choice for Hermione because the Doctor and the Master were actually friends with her at some point if I'm remembering correctly.

I was going to use her for that same reason, but since she was in only two episodes her pictures are even harder to find.

It's hard to really match the goody-two-shoes-ness of the first Romana though. Plus, she genuinely likes the Doctor, whereas the Rani has absolutely no patience for either of them.

...which is what makes Mark of the Rani so delightful.
