That was the first thing I thought when I saw it.

I thought "What, did the raid the wardrobe of the first two Harry Potter movies for that jumper?"

I do find it hilarious that non-Brits assume that bog-standard British School things are 'a bit Harry Potter'.

( For example). It's a typical school uniform.

No one is better then the English at making creepy children.

Sorry, England, but the kids in Village of the Damned were just terrifying, and nothing is yet to match it.

Actually my first question after seeing the kids was... "Do all English kids go to Catholic School?" The only kids I know who all wear identical uniforms to school are the kids that go to Catholic School. The private and public school kids in our area all wear normal clothes (T-shirts and jeans etc.).

No, they do not all go to Catholic school, but I am pretty sure that all of them wear uniforms regardless of whether they go to private school or public school (and "public school" means something entirely different from what it means in North America.)

I guess I wasn't thinking, but I did know the UK is mostly protestant, not Catholic. I am wondering what you mean by "public school" means something entirely different from what it means in North America. Would you enlighten me? I find England and the UK very interesting. I would love to visit some day. I also find a British, Scottish or Irish accent very lovely. They are like music to my ears...Unless they are creepy kids saying "We are coming".

'Public' = fee paying, private school. Eton, Millfield, etc

'State' = what the Government provides, basically.

Most schools have a compulsory uniform of some sort.
