It's a wickedly awesome serial. Trial of a Timelord does not get enough credit, and it's one of my absolute favourite seasons.

Also, it has Glitz and Dibber in it. :-D

I once started a minor controversy on Our Beloved Mod's old forum/chatroom/newsgroup/thing The House On Allen Road, asking if there was anything good about the series rather than the tea-drinking bit in parts 5-8. I was rather forcibly reminded that there was!

I watched Trial of a Timelord in two days, which I have never done with a full season of Doctor Who before. I think anyone who dislikes Six or JNT-era Who really needs to see this serial, as I think it really was the paving stone for the later, more arch-like style of storytelling.

Perhaps that was the sever psychological trauma/defect Glitz was mentioning so eloquently earlier in the show.

I love how Glitz is only character is the history of ever who gives his own psychological analysis before we even get to know him. WIN.

I don't know what it is about that bowler hat guy, but he was my favourite character is Doctor Who YET. (exaggerating slightly)
