Does this make me the community's mummy?!

And this is the macro which inspired this community! As soon as I saw Sherlock in this pose I thought of the Doctor Who related caption, and that made me realise that Sherlock didn’t have a similar community to others I had seen. This got me wondering, “If there was one, what would it be called?” and a few minutes later I realised that there ( Read more... )

If there were actually a Sherlock/Doctor Who crossover on television (ie. Sherlock gets a weird case and runs into the Doctor, or vice versa) I would probably scream and die of happiness.

Amy wants to meet ACD, the Doctor obliges, naturally. He loves great minds and authors and all that. But the TARDIS has a mind of her own, that sexy thing, and flies them straight into 21st century London, where they meet a consulting detective by name of Sherlock Holmes and his boyfriend colleague, Dr. John Watson. The greatest battle of wits any universe has ever seen almost immediately ensues.

Yeah, I would die happy, too.

I can't even begin to imagine what the interaction between the Doctor and Sherlock would be like. Would they just try to one-up each other in who can be the wittiest?

I don't know either! They might be instant BFFs as the smartest people around. I imagine finally having someone who can understand your enormous brain would be pretty exciting. On the other hand, they might hate each other on sight. Sherlock's tendency to not care (or at least seem not to care) about other non-John people would certainly get on the Doctor's nerves. Perhaps they might appear to be constantly challenging each other and getting on each others' nerves, but actually care a lot. They might start shagging like bunnies, or they might be excited to find someone who finally understands that deep affection doesn't have to include sex.

At any rate, I am certain that John and pretty much any of the companions would get along like a house on fire.
