This is beautiful. It really means a lot to me- strange thing to say about a ficlet I just randomly found, but it is so meaningful, and so heartwarming, with this character in particular- and I'm incoherent. Just, thank you.

Nyota has spent a lot of time imagining what Spock's quarters are like. An embarrassing amount of time, as a matter of fact. Yet, she had never suspected that amid the muted earth tones and abstract art, she would find a photograph of two human women clasping brightly colored bouquets in front of their wedding dresses

Thank you! I was a bit worried about that last line; I'm so glad it worked for you. And yeah, Gaila really refuses to stay out of my stories these days. Anyway, she and Spock as BFFs are part of my head canon, and I'm working on two stories about it now, so...

Thank you so much! Spock is who got me into this fandom after all, even though I don't write him so often anymore :) And yeah, it's hard to keep Gaila out of any story I write.

I'm so glad you liked it! I was a bit worried that it was too much of a "message" story, but I really couldn't make myself change anything.

Very original take on the photo! I really love the interpretation of the photograph that you wrote for Spock. The Gaila photo was such a neat surprise, too, it matches the story so well.

“I would like to kiss you,” he says, then looks startled. “I apologize for my frankness.”

Hehe, Spock! Basically, I want to draw tiny hearts around this story. :o)
