Character's Name: Santana Lopez.
Character's Age: 17.

What form will your character's NV take? A classy Blackberry. Her dad is a doctor. A real one. She can afford such things.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: She can sing and dance and kick your ass and has razor blades in her hair. That is about it.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? Santana will develop the ability of telekinesis. It will begin in displays of great amounts of emotion -- like when she gets super pissed, she can move something without actually touching it. Think of it like parting the red sea of McKinley just by walking down it, sans the Quinn Fabray reference and more Latina bitch. With time, she will be able to hone it into something actually useful. ... a lot of time.
Weapons: She has razor blades in her hair. I am not even joking.

Character Personality: "The only straight I am is straight-up bitch."

Santana is, first and foremost, a bitch. She spends a great deal of her time insulting her fellow Glee-club members simply because she can. She is the head bitch in charge at McKinley high -- Santana dishes it out and she has no regrets about what she says or does. She is blunt, honest, and doesn't particularly give a damn what you think about her -- she's going to say it anyway. She carries herself with a special sort of confidence that most girls would kill for -- people move aside when Santana Lopez walks down the hall, because if you don't get out of her way, she will make it heard, loud and clear, that you and your ugly sweater needs ta gets out of her way.

Her main targets are usually the so-called losers of McKinley high -- normally members of the Glee club that she's actually a member of -- but truly, no one is safe. She gets into a fight with Quinn, one of her supposed best friends, in the hallway simply because Quinn got her taken off of the Cheerios head position. It results in a fist-fight, Santana claiming that Quinn should have had a lizard baby, and Santana storming away in a vicious huff without apologizing for a single word of it. She tries to punch Lauren Zizes in the face because Lauren -- well, quite frankly, exists. She has a very hardened view of the people around her -- they suck, she is awesome -- she truly doesn't see a problem here.

"Okay, look... believe what you want, but no one's forcing me to be here. And if you tell anyone this, I'll deny it - but I like being in Glee Club. It's the best part of my day, okay? I wasn't gonna go and mess it up."

Unfortunately for Santana, her bitchy cover isn't anything more than skin-deep. While she started out as the head bitch in charge of the spy ring within New Directions, she quickly ends with enjoying Glee Club -- and even making friends with a large majority of the Club. Even though Santana is a Cheerio and is one of the most popular girls in the school, she continually goes to glee club practice and even enjoys singing with the group of losers. She has every opportunity to shun the glee club and never go to the club again past her obligations as a spy for Sue Slyvester -- but Santana doesn't. In fact, she works hard to make sure the Club succeeds. At the end of their first Regionals, when they lost to Vocal Adrenaline, Santana claims "I used to hate everyone in this club." Obviously, that changed.

Once Santana quits the Cheerios, however, her simple 'I like to sing and dance' stretches to an actual loyalty and devotion to the club of so-called losers. She works her ass off in order to make sure that they succeed, ranging from pairing up with different members of the Glee Club to work on her talent to working to get Kurt to come back to McKinley so that the club can win Nationals. Granted, she had selfish motivations for both of these actions -- one cannot turn over a completely new leaf in one day, after all -- but it is shown that Santana genuinely cares for the people in this club. Even when she was still a spy for Sue Sylvester in season 1, Santana openly admits that Glee Club is the best part of her day -- despite the fact that it does nothing for her reputation or social status at McKinley. She sings because she genuinely loves to sing.

"It's time to do what Santana does best -- revenge."

Santana can be an extraordinarily vengeful person. When something doesn't go her way, she makes them pay for it -- double. Her temper is quick and volatile and lashes out whenever someone wrongs her, even if the 'wrong' isn't even wrong in the first place. She frequently goes after various members of the Club for dating people that she deems 'her men' because she -- well, can. This is included, but not limited to, Mercedes, Lauren, and even one of her best friends, Quinn. A frequent advocate of sabotage and violence, Santana Lopez always leaves her mark on whatever she does -- in terms of a fist. She gets into numerous fist-fights in the series over relatively petty things because Santana doesn't quite have the control over her temper that many others think she should have. She is very much a 'shoot first, ask questions later' kind of girl -- although she tends to skip the 'ask questions later' part and tends to just punch people and leave.

"I want to be with you, but I'm afraid of the talks and the looks."

Despite her outwardly confident and cocky demeanor, Santana is extraordinarily focused on what people think about her. Her reputation is most everything to her -- and she carries a lot of insecurity with her. She has a reputation in the school as being the sexy girl who sleeps around with men to get what she wants and isn't a very large advocate of love. In actuality, Santana has little to no actual interest in any of the men she dates -- because she's actually in love with a girl -- specifically, her best friend, Brittany Pierce. However, she's afraid of coming out and being who she actually is because she's terrified of being judged and bullied and pushed around. To a girl who shoves people out of her way with nothing but a look, this is a very terrifying thought -- and Santana's insecurity is shown several times throughout the series. She gets a boob job to make her feel better about herself, she constantly tortures the people around her to keep on top, and she dates a series of men in order to hide the fact that she's a lesbian. All Santana really wants is to belong -- which she does, in Glee Club, but in every other manner of life, she is terrified to be who she actually is. So she keeps it all a secret.

Character Plans: Santana will be sticking close to her Glee club buddies. Generally not caring about anyone else maybe and being obnoxious.

Appearance/PB: Santana Lopez, ladies and gentlemen.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample

[Santana is in a building. What building, she isn't entirely sure, but the girl is dressed in a pretty black dress, has her hair done, and her makeup is perfect. She's glaring into the camera of her Blackberry, having seen a couple of people talking on the network -- and with some random button pressing, Santana has figured out she's connected.

She also has a razorblade in her hand. Don't ask questions. It will prove to be a mistake.]

Alright, look, I get it -- there are some sexually repressed people out there, and I'm hot, and the most play you probably get is when you log on to World of Warcraft every Friday night, but I'm not in the mood to be fucked with, alright?

[And Santana holds up the blade, her lips curling into a scowl.]

Where in the hell am I and which one of you sick freaks brought me here? 'cause I better be on the next flight to the Big Apple in the next ten minutes or I'm gonna go Lima Heights on every single one of your asses.

Answers. Now.

Third Person Sample

Santana had just lost Nationals.

No, scratch that, actually -- that ugly man-handed Jew lost Nationals, by making out with Finnocence on the biggest stage in the world. And if it hadn't been for Q holding her back, Santana would've ripped out that girl's hair and shoved it down her throat for costing her the only shot at getting back on top she would get -- that trophy.

But no, she had lost. Again. And was a loser. Again. And god, she had only won them Sectionals with Valerie for a reason, and if it weren't for Jesse St Suck, she could've done it again with Back to Black, and why in the hell was she in an abandoned lot?

" -- Berry," Santana snarled, her hand darting into her up-do, the glint of a razorblade appearing in her fingers as she spun neatly in her high heels, trying to gauge her surroundings. "What the -- funny, guys, hilarious, let's just all have a laugh at Santana, I'm going to kick all of your asses!" she snapped at the poor individual stationed with welcoming her to Siren's Port. "Is this your fault? Is this some kind of Vocal Adrenaline joke? Because I've got a fist with that tool Goolsby's name on it if you think I'm falling for this shit! Like it's my fault we lost, go kidnap Berry, at least we'd get fifty more points for sex appeal with her grandma ass gone!"

And then, the biggest insult to come --

Her heel broke.

And then the Spanish began.
