Honestly, I'm beyond thrilled for Johnny, but I'm not pulling for him. I think Daniel's got it, and I'm quite happy with that b/c he was amaaaazing. I'm stoked TLJ got it too, because that movie was amazing and NO ONE saw it. D: Or Viggo. This year was way too good for actors! Johnny's time is coming; I'm not at all worried. :D
The one you've got to see? If you haven't seen No Country, then that one. Or There Will Be Blood. Both of them are basically essential. For reals.
I still can't get over that he was nominated for Captain Jack. I was like "Academy, have you been reading my diary??? WTF?! :D"
Oh, I'm counting on it. If they do Shantaram right, he could easily win for that. And definitely see those two; they're really impressive. (Don't see them on the same day, though--it'll kill your brain with OMG.)
