save the world

I. New Year's was spent half-asleep sitting between relatives while ignoring the evil, persuasive thing that is coquito and... well, relatives. I don't like family things. Unfortunately after using up my three strikes of excuses to avoid these situations, dad dragged us and whoo, happy new year. At least I had a top hat and I wore a tie. That's ( Read more... )

I'm so glad you enjoyed Dexter. It's very pretty, isn't it? I do think we're supposed to realize that Brian is the ITK at least the episode before it's revealed, so I'm glad they didn't drag that out. And in doing so they were able to sneak that familial connection right past me, so that one really took me by surprise.

I know what you mean about Julie Benz. Her voice bothers me when she's Darla, but it totally works for a woman who's been victimized (not to mention the fact that I think she's lost a bit of the baby-ish quality).

As for Heroes, I'm not so sure Peter actually is an emo kid. I mean, the hair does its best at disguising him as one, but he's merely quiet, but when he realizes he's got a higher purpose he becomes proactive and stuff. Emo kids aren't proactive, it's, like, in the rule book.

I love squee-y TV posts. Okay, now do The Office.

I think Dexter confirms my love for shorter seasons. Hey, it works with Doctor Who -- less episodes, more concentrated goodness maybe. But I loved the way it was handled. I kept guessing and then throwing out random possible factors just TRYING to figure it out ("It must be him, he has green eyes! And so does Dexter! Meaning they're connected and therefore he's it!" ...yeah, the mind, it wanders. ;) ) But they handled it so well so I'm squeeful about that ( ... )

zomgyoudon'tlikedarla!!!! That's it. I am never speaking to you again *turns dexk around and pouts*

You know I'll just take any chance I get to be a drama queen :P

I knew you'd like Dexter. The show is just made of fantastic with the acting/directing/writing/cinematography, there's naked Julie people can mock me, but I've made many watch the show just by mentioning that and Michael C. Hall just blows you away.

*sits back to wait for Season 2*
Patrick Bateman (in-joke! name on list! ::loves::)

And then he does Sean Ellis. I bet Dexter even runs a Patrick Bateman fanclub or something.

I can't believe how great the show is. It's just... I got so hooked. It was LOVELY, in ALL aspects. Ahhh. S2, hurry up..!

American Psycho = Dexter totally has a copy of it because Deb's boyfriend recommended that he get it. BWAH. ;)

I know what you mean. I watched the pilot for Julie and by the end I was fangirling about eveything good that is this show. *needs season 2 pronto*

I bet it's the current book on their Book blub. Because serial killers should have a Book club. And a convention. They can go to Dahmerland!

Okay, so am skimming over Heroes spoilers, since I'm only at episode 7.

As for Torchwood, I don't know how far you've seen up to, but some of the episodes aren't a little weird and not much good. But stick with it, because the last two episodes, especially the finale, are amazing! I'm not one for squeeing/clapping hands in excitement/getting excited whilst watching tv shows, but I did all three and more whilst watching the last episode. *g*

Good to know! I did hear it wasn't that great in parts but I saw a clip from ep 12 and just had to start getting them as soon as possible. Because it's been a long time since I've seen Captain Jack!

I love it when new shows turn out to hook me in. And then I later regret it because omgwtf TOO MANY SHOWS TO WATCH.

He is! He's all mild mannered and then whoo, CRAZY. It's like Clark becoming Kal-El but gone wrong without the Kents influence. And if I wrote Heroes fic, I'd write that. ::nods::

Brandon Routh should guest star. Because uh, Sylar needs some sort of relative. I declare it so.
