Two hours and 45 minutes to waste. Continuing with
Tuesday's theme:
Give me a pairing (something I'd like, for once!) in one of my fandoms and a word or two. I'll write a 100+ word drabble in the next three hours.
I will write drabbles for the first 4 responses. No more, no less. On account of not wanting to write absolute shit before my time's

“Elizabeth. Is there something you’re not telling me?”
She is accustomed to this sort of questioning, but today it catches her off balance. Mischievous grin and he’d shake his head, smile and let it go. James isn’t that cruel to tie her down all the time - unless, as he puts it, it was for her own good. …Or that she wishes it ( ... )

When they are in the Infirmary later - black eyes, cut lips, bruised fists - Remus has his head buried in his hands, fingers combing through light brown hair. It’s a sight, the whole thing - “I cannot fathom why you men feel the need to beat each other senseless,” Lily had mentioned in passing - and it may or may not be the last fight between them both.
In the meantime, Lily pats Remus on the back. “You’ve got something about you, Remus. Why else would you have two imbeciles fighting over you?”
“They’re not fighting over me,” Remus tells her, feeling his voice strain. “They’re just being berks about their pranks and what not.”
“If you say so.”
She laughs while Remus groans, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

The thing about Avada Kedavra, Draco notices, is that it’s too quick. Sure, there’s a flash, green light, all that rot, but when you get down to it - there’s another body hitting the ground. There. Dead. That’s it. All there is to it ( ... )

On one of Draco’s visits, Harry decides to use a desk for the occasion.
Normally, it is a wall. Walls are firm and don’t creak or wobble. Unless you were in a terrible mess of a house, an abandoned one, perhaps. But desks, those can get wobbly.
It’s thoughts like these-inane babble more like - that run through Harry’s mind when he’s throwing Draco down on the desk, ignoring any sarcastic response. The particular hotel room is modestly decorated, little floral print on the walls, neat light pink coverlet, plain wood furniture. And a good, firm desk.
Firm, in terms of not wobbling. However, it appears to be polished a lot. So Draco slips and slides underneath Harry - kiss to the underside of the jaw, then three down the neck - but they keep at it.
It is business, nothing more.
