Merlin looks like he's either wearing the chicken on his head or the dead chicken has leapt up and struck Merlin in the face. I'm not sure which scenario I prefer, as they are both equally delightful, LOL!

Re: Morgana's powers, well, I would think it weird if they suddenly developed, but more because we haven't seen them up until now than because Merlin's an anomaly - Gaius thinks Merlin's an anomaly, and he's only met people who had to study magic to practise it, but he seems to have been hanging around the garden!variety sorcerers all his life. I don't think Mordred was taught his mind-speaking skills, either. And Morgana's supposed to be really powerful herself, isn't she? Plus, her seer powers certainly showed up on their own. Just, yeah - why wouldn't the rest of her powers have shown at all till now?

The ep looks really pretty, though! And I'm wondering if Arthur's going to find out about Morgana's powers before he does Merlin's...

I did think this ep was written and edited MUCH better, but presumptuous!Gwen is not as hot as they think it is...
