Playing hooky

I'm starting to nurture a great fondness for this little cafe, probably because it's the only place other than my bedroom where I've spent more than an hour in the past couple of weeks. I am officially pathetic. Laziness breeds more laziness, 10 hours of sleep a night does nothing for me except make me look forward to another 10 hours. I'm just ( Read more... )

too much sleep makes you more tired. (:
moving heavy furniture after like 5 hours of sleep makes you tired too. (:
folding origami keeps me awake. being too tired, i will fall asleep mid-fold.

Often what people feel and what they actually do/say are different. You invite guests because it's the "proper" thing to do, even if you don't really care for their company (or even hate the very prescence of them). I know how your mom feels, and conversely I've been in your position many times too. Sometimes it's both. But yeah -- haha -- it's best just to talk it out. Three days is a fairly long stay.

You just have to put a gracious front (happy face :)) and bear with it (whether it's putting up with the guest or with the other people living in the house). Good luck and enjoy the rest of summer! And don't worry about being lazy; I wish I had time to be lazy. (coincidentally, I'm listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Can't Stop")

I'm reading, of course! Just back from camp - I'll send you a long 'juicy' e-mail (read: there is nothing juicy in my life, so it will probably just be boring). I love reading your lj entries so much!
