Oh, the Jar of Hearts one... man I am such a sucker for Frank/Gerard angst. Just, ouch.

Also? I never really thought I would buy/like Patrick/Mikey but I think it worked, so bravo :)

Aww, thank you! I figured I'd just get a mob with torches and pitchforks for that one ;-)

And that's what I like about the iTunes game, it makes me think of unexpected pairings and scenarios to work with the song. That one's a bit rough, I think, but I'm glad it was at least somewhat convincing :-D

The thing (for me at least) about shorter ficlets like this is that you have to buy into the emotional premise right away, and I think that is why the Patrick piece worked so well for me. The set up is there, in small details like Pete being Patrick's first and reality and thunderclouds and Patrick being afraid to move on.
