Argh, I lose. Is 7 Buffy? And, um, 1 Harry Potter?

No and no. But fandom 7 is similar to Buffy, and Harry Potter appears elsewhere on the list. ^_^

I'm declaring you second place in my fandom-guessing game.

If you give me a prompt, I'll write you a fic.

I keep thinking of prompts and forgetting them as soon as I get to the internets. /o\ How about F/K, hockey?

(Also, since I don't speak acronym very fluently, what's M?)

Due South isn't embarrassing, so no. For 7 you're on the right general track.

3 is Harry Potter. Yay!

Yes to Gundam W being on the list, no to the other anime you've listed (although I'm a fan of both shows, I don't participate -- or even read -- those fandoms).

Okay, I'm calling you the winner, coming in with ONE fandom!

I hereby owe you a short-short (yes, flashfiction). Fandom and prompt (word or quote)?

I'm sooooooooo confused! So confused! How do you write this? How am I supposed to figure it out?! Am I stupid? Help!

No, you're not stupid -- someone else emailed me direct about it, thus establishing that I was less-than-clear. Each number is to be read as a separate love letter, from me, to one of my fandoms. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to guess 'who' I'm talking to/about.

So, using the one Yuki guessed as the example, 3 is my letter to Harry Potter Fandom. I didn't get into it for a long time (reluctant convert), and I don't have the time or energy to deal with the shipping wars and the high number of n00b/bad fanfic writers (a bad match), and yet I do keep a foot in, mainly because I have friends pointing me toward the good stuff online and the RL reinforcement from the bookstore crew (HP fandom is seeing all my friends).

ok lemme see mrswolfwood December 26 2006, 00:56:11 UTC
So it's a love letter to a fandom. If for example, I wrote to Trigun, I would say something like:

Why do you attract yaoi-crazed never-been-kissed pretentious assholes when you are so much cooler than that? You are romantically stunted and masochistic. You are unable to handle your own greatness and constantly fuck it up.

hahah how is that? Or am I just venting now? ;)
