Oh, man, I am so jealous for (of?) all of y'all going to BP. This continent is too big and flights are too expensive and being a Responsible Adult sucks. So I've been distracting myself with reminders that I am traveling this summer, just later and in the other direction. One of my friends is renewing her vows in Delaware (she and her man eloped ( Read more... )

I want to run from zombies!!! I am so jealous! I wish they were having one close to me. I could totally handle a 5k. With ZOMBIES.

Zombies are exactly the motivation I need for running. I keep trying to convince locals to join me on this adventure, but so far, no go. Though I will be dragging my sister along as a spectator, at least, since the closest one to me is MUCH closer to her place.

I know. WOE. And yes, you're right -- it seemed like we were never in the same place at the same time last year!

I'm pretending BP isn't happening this year. Nope, not missing out on anything or anyone here!

My deep thoughts on telepaths: Schudlig types feel more likely - or at least it is with telepathy always presented as being a difficult thing to deal with, even if you're a "good" person at heart. Bad or neutral-but-unstable seems to be the way the majority of telepaths in the Marvel universe go if there isn't some kind of intervention or benevolent mentor for them (...and your benevolent mentor isn't Emma Frost and then the Phoenix gets a hold of you. Living in the MU is so complicated.).

p.s. You should take a strangely northerly route to Delaware. I say this for no reason...
p.p.s. I live by many tasty, tasty restaurants.

This technique would be more effective if I unsubscribed from the comm, probably.

Schuldig types are where I lean, too. I mean, on one hand, I really do believe that better understanding of other people leads to increased empathy. But on the other, often people are mean and uncharitable and irritable and having bad days, and hearing every petty thought that floats through someone's head... I don't know, lashing out first might be an adaptive trait.

Living in the MU is so complicated.
Fact. READING the MU, also complicated.

I find your post scripts interesting and would like to subscribe to the newsletter. (IOW, yay! That is not such a crazy route.)

I took it off my default watch list, but I couldn't leave it entirely. There's always 2014?

(and as a bonus, there probably won't be a snowstorm for that easterly drive!)

Let's hope for 2014!

(probably. I am familiar with the strange effects of lakes, so I will not make any remarks like "but, JULY.")

This time with /tag!
