I really don't know. Book discount and extra funds=yay. And I wouldn't be trying to move up or really have any career-ish expectations, which what was ultimately drove me to quit. OTOH, I'm currently working set hours, and I don't have to wonder if I'll be free to do something not work-related.
*laughs* I know you'll do what you need to do...and I"m 100% behind you...just don't forget WHY you left to begin with. And even if you aren't in a leadership position...I know you well enough to know that just standing by and watching the stupidity take place around you will drive you crazy...
BUT...that being said...if it's only for a few hours..it may not be that bad.
Coming from someone who is there only a few hours a week, I assure you: HER SHEER STUPIDITY WILL DRIVE YOU MAD! She's horrid. Endlessly, unstoppably horrid. I could go on for days, truly.
Basically, there is almost nothing enjoyable about that place anymore. Not to be dramatic or anything. ;)

OH JOHN RINGO NO!!!!!
Oh my...I actually read that...well skipping a few paragraphs on the study of the type of writing...because, um i don't read any of them and so...::shrug::
But I was screaming sometimes shrieking at the screen as I forgot my 'safe-word'. And even when I did remember to yell 'OH JOHN RINGO NO!' at the screen it didn't keep the family from going 'what the fuck is wrong with you?'
I think the 12 year old girl in the last one was the point where I about DIED....I cannot imagine READING those books to find out how truly horrifying they are either.

Also, I forgot...
about the job thing...
I have no idea what to tell you. I know that if I left my place of employment hellhole of a job I'd swear that I'd never go back again...but if I didn't have a better offer and they *needed* me I might be weak-willed enough to put up with it...but I bet the whole time I'd be there, I'd be thinking 'why the hell did I come back here again?'
i mean really, if you just go to get extra cash but end up turning around and spending it on stuff you find on the shelves that you otherwise might not have spend enough time looking at to find...is the paycheck even existent?
In my bookstore days, I kinda blindly rec'ed John Ringo, among assorted other military scifi types, to all those young Halo readers when they wanted something 'similar' to read.
I'm sure I would have gone there myself if I hadn't got burnt out on David Weber's infodumps-disguised-as-novels. I love me some military SF, and I used to be a lot less picky!
