Anna had always striven to maintain a strict line between her work and her actual life. Being around actors, directors, and assorted "artistes" reinforced the rightness of that decision. Most of the time. Well, sometimes.
But maybe she just hadn't found the right work to dedicate herself to. There had been something almost... valiant about Geoffrey's quest to pursue 'his' play, regardless of the cost and consequence.
She threw her jar of protein powder into the box. Maybe this was her chance, too. Not just Richard's. Maybe she was meant to be doing something more challenging. Something she couldn't leave at the office at the end of the day.
She wondered whether Bolivian counterrevolutionary groups needed people with administrative and organizational skills.
As she walked out of the New Burbage Theatre offices for the last time, Anna smiled. Of course they did.
