My old dentist always asked if I flossed...I always said no. I'm sure he wanted me too but really if there is nothing wrong with my teeth I don't see the reason to wedge that nasty string between my teeth and mangle my gums. My teeth don't have big gaps inbetween them so it takes a lot of force.

That just can't be good.

I'm always honest with my dentist though, I bet he'd see if I said I flossed and didn't.

Thanks, I don't think if I have to get my wisdom teeth out it will be right away, ehm hopefully. I just have one that is an issue with the broken part but I haven't had pain as yet. Though I know when the pain comes it will be very bad.

My teeth are so tight together that I have to pull really hard to get the thread through and then it shoots up and hurts my gums. Instead my toothpaste is the new very foamy kind that advertises it cleans in all the nooks and crannies. Lets hope that is enough, the dentist should be able to tell.

Having your wisdom teeth out isn't really that bad. It's not fun, but it's not horrible. I don't know about the Netherlands, but in the US, dentists tend to be pretty generous with the pain medications after a major procedure like that, so even if you hurt, you just don't care very much.

My dentist gave me Percocet (oxycodone and acetaminophen/paracetamol) after I had my wisdom teeth removed (all four at once); the only problem I had was that I'd forgotten to mention that I was still nursing Mini-me. She slept REALLY well that night, but appears not to have taken any permanent damage from it. :)

For the extraction of wisdom teeth the dentist (on the phone) said I'd have to go to the jawsurgeon. eeek. I bet that isn't anywhere near here.

And with my mental issues making me feel bad I have to eat regularly and so I'm not looking forward to having trouble eating. Pain medications are not something I have a lot of experience with so I don't know what effect they would have on me physically.

Poor Mini-me, a little drug baby! *grin Was she jittery the next day? Hm and a lot of teeth issues for women are the result of pregnancy, they should have asked you about the baby situation. (if they didn't notice leakmarks on your shirt).

Yeah, come to think, it was the periodontist who extracted my wisdom teeth, not my general dentist, but they were in the same practice (along with my orthodontist, for that matter), which is why this didn't occur to me before now ( ... )

Hehe jups, my legs were sore. I swear is wasn't really bouncing though!

Now I have to wait until the verdict is passed from the arbeids arts, lets hope I'm still bouncy by then. The appointment went okay though.

Now I can focus on the dentist...
