Lookie what arrived on Tuesday:
8 skeins of Drops Fabel!
I'd been looking for a petrol/turquoise coloured sock yarn at the knitting fair. The above was my backup yarn, in case I didn't find anything better at the fair. Obviously I didn't find anything else, but in the end I'm really happy with my choice for this one.
I'm planning to turn this yarn into a lace hoodie, namely: Laika (

non-ravelry link)
It's from Ysolda's book Little Red in the City, which I bought a
few months ago.
I made a
gauge swatch:
Which turned out to have either perfect gauge (if I didn't stretch it at all), or be a tiny bit too big (if I slightly stretched it, as the instructions say I should).
Since I'm exactly between two sizes, I decided to knit the smaller size to compensate for the possibly slightly large gauge.
Neither of the pictures above correctly show the actual colour of the yarn. It's a very bright turquoise, much greener than the gauge picture shows, and more vivid than it looks here. I can't seem to get the correct colour to show up, even with help from Photoshop. Fail.
I already started knitting the cardigan itself, and I'm already about 7cm along. It's quite fun so far!
