Dream 23
Reiko took her phone as it beeped signing that she received a message.
‘Will you mind to come to my place tomorrow? I have something important to tell you. My parents are waiting for you too’
She looked for the sender, “Inoo?” She asked herself.
“What’s so important? Wait! Parents? Don’t tell me it is…. Proposal? Engangement? Or…marriage?” Reiko thought hardly but ended up shaking her head.
“No, no. Impossible!”
Tired of thinking, she lied down on her bed.
Minutes later, her phone beeped again.
“What’s more this time?” Reiko muttered as she took the vibrating phone.
Hello, Reiko-chan. How about our plan tomorrow?
A message came in - from Rui.
Reiko sighed. She forgot that she had promised Rui to attend an exhibition. How could I forget it?
And now, she had promised Kei that she would met him at his house. She sighed again.
I’m sorry. I totally forget it. By the way I can’t tomorrow. I’ve promise someone.
Moment later she got a reply.
Oh, really? I know who I am that you forget me *pout* Who’s that? Seem so important ^^
Reiko took the phone and replied.
Dude, who forget you *smacked* I just forgot the appointment, NOT YOU! You must know that I love you so much.
It’s Inoo-san. But you’re way more important than him!
Rui replied.
Inoo-san? Have fun, ne~ Oh by the way, I LOVE YOU TOO!!!
Reiko unconsciously smiled upon reading the message - especially at the ‘have fun’ part.
On the other side, Rui’s heart was broken. “So, they are officially dating?”

Soon as he finished his story, Yuuki came home. As she stepped in the living room, three pairs of eyes - her mom, little sister and Yuri - were glued on her.
“Why?” Yuuki asked, confused.
“You know right, what made him here?” her mom asked her back.
Yuuki smiled.
“Why you are so ingenuous and….dumb?” she could not help not to burst into laugh. She smacked Yuri’s head slightly. “You should understand what the real meaning behind it. There’s no way I will marry you…at least for NOW!”
Yuri was clueless. What is this? She is completely different with ‘her’ at school. He shook his head before punched his cheek to make sure that he was not dreaming. I’m not dreaming. So, what the heck has happen to her? He frowned more as he thought hard.
“Hey, why are you looking at me like that? Let’s go!”
Yuri’s mouth gaped. Let’s go? Does she have fever?
“Where?”
“Upstairs. Study,”
“Study?” Oh my gosh, what should I do?
“You want to beat me in Maths, don’t you? So, let’s study!” Yuuki was already approaching the stairs that leaded to her room.
Yuri froze in his seat. He was really clueless!
“Hey, why are you still there?” Yuuki came near Yuri, ready to drag him.
Quickly, Yuri stood up, an excuse suddenly popped up in his mind. “Ah, I’m sorry. I got task at home. I’ll go first.” He bowed a bit asking permission to leave.
But Yuuki would not let him go. She grabbed on Yuri’s right arm. What to do now? Yuri looked at the floor, avoiding contact with Yuuki. He was so uneasy.
“I just want you to know that the reason behind those conditions is…,” she paused which made Yuri felt like peeing. Silence floated between them for about half a minute.
“…sincerity,” Finishing her line, she went upstairs leaving the clueless Yuri alone.
“Since..rity?”

“Enough of rest? Shall we continue now?” Keito asked Mayuko after they had a coffee break. Not really a coffee break, since they ordered a big-size pizza and finished it without anybody’s helps - just two of them!
“Macha! Let’s go!” Mayuko seemed so energetic.
“So, we have finished cation. And now, just anion left. It pretty much simpler,”
“Ah, for you, anything is simple,” Mayuko pouted.
“Believe me, this is much simpler! I’m not lying,” Keito tried to convince Mayuko.
“Whatever. Let’s start,”
“First is the test for carbonate ion (CO32-). To start with, add in some drops of strong acid, say hydrochloric acid. It will give off carbon dioxide gas and water.
CO3 2- + 2H+ -> CO2 + H2O
Then, the gas released is confirmed by passing it into a solution of limewater (calcium hydroxide), Ca(OH)2. The solution will turn chalky due to the presence of calcium carbonate, an insoluble salt (CaCO3) precipitate. The precipitate is white in colour.
Ca(OH)2 + CO2 -> CaCO3 + H2O
Okay?”
Mayuko nodded.
“Now, let’s look at chloride ions (Cl-). Firstly, add some nitric acid. This will result in the formation of hydrochloric acid. Next, add in silver nitrate, AgNO3 and white precipitate will form at the bottom of container due to the present of silver chloride, AgCl, an insoluble salt. No problem with it?”
Like she was programmed, Mayuko kept on nodding.
“Let’s move to sulphate ion (SO42-). It is much easier,”
Mayuko pouted upon hearing the word ‘easier’.
“What we need to do is just to add in some barium nitrate, Ba(NO3)2. If the sulphate ions present, precipitate will be form which is due to the formation of barium sulphate, BaSO4, a well-known insoluble salt. Got it, so far?”
This time, she just blinked her eyes, tired of nodding perhaps.
“As for this one, it’s a bit difficult,”
“Finally you say it!” Mayuko suddenly jumped of joy.
“Say what?” Keito frowned. What with sudden joy?
“That word - DIFFICULT!” She was still bouncing.
“Huh? Just that and you’re THIS happy?” he shook his head. “C’mon, stop being so childish. Let’s continue, just a bit more,”
Mayuko sat beside him and concentrated again.
“So, the last one is nitrate. To test it, first of course we must put some nitrate ion into a test tube. Then add some iron (II) sulphate. After that, the test tube is slanted. Slowly pour concentrated sulphuric acid down the slanted side. It will result in a formation of brown ring. Got it?”
Mayuko nodded, “Except for the brown ring part, why is it formed? And…no equation?”
“The book says so,” Keito grinned, showing his white teeth.
Mayuko pouted, dissatisfied for not getting the answer.
“Honestly, I don’t know too,” Keito laughed.
Mayuko pinched.
“Ouch! That’s hurt!” he exclaimed.
“Serve your right!”
Keito was just about to chase after Mayuko who was trying to run away when they heard the sound of the gate being opened. They looked at each other.
A/N : Somehow I feel Yuuki/Yuri story's a big failure! But I love the others ^^
Currently have test, not that big test, just a monthly one. Anyway, seriously in need to study :D
Anyway, comments as usual~~
