Dream 18
Daiki was walking alone at the Biology mini-garden in which various species of herbaceous plants - some were unknown and unusual - were planted. He was so love them for they could bring peaceful and calmness to him.
*flashback*
“Still remember?” Daiki asked. The girl in front of her turned quickly - shocked of the sudden greet from someone. Realizing who it was, she rubbed her chest, calming herself down.
“I’m sorry for not greeting you properly,” Daiki bowed a bit. “Good morning. How do you do?” As usual, a broad smile was carved on.
“Good morning. I’m fine,” she - Haruka - smiled. “And of course I still remember you. I won’t forget you, just as my promise.”
“Then, can we be …,” he paused, felt shy to confess it.
“Be….?”
“Like what we used to when we were little kids,” Daiki could sense the reddishness of his chubby penguin cheek.
“Oh, of course we can,” Haruka’s smiled broadened, even wider than Daiki’s who won the first ranking of ‘The Widest Smile Ever in Midori’. “But, can I say it with a condition?”
“Condition? What is it?” Daiki was curious.
“Just a simple one - you have to overcome your weakness first!”
“My weakness?”
“Your clumsiness. You’re not like that when we were young, remember?”
Daiki nodded. He remembered clearly became a clumsy boy after moving to his new home, where he stayed till now. He himself too was confused of the main reason he be like that. One thing he sure of, it might be that his old neighbourhood ‘cursed’ on with the ‘help’ of his new villa. Perhaps, to let them be together forever!
“Okay, I’ll try. Jaa~” With that, he left. He needed time to think and be alone.
*end flashback*
“Overcome my clumsiness? Is it possible?” Daiki asked himself when he was pushed to the right forcedly by someone. Daiki stood up, looking at the figure - a bit taller than him.
“Ryu?” he was stunted as he saw the kid’s face clearly.
“Dai-chan?” the younger boy was shocked too. “Oh, you should know how much I miss you,” Ryutaro hugged Daiki.
“Me too, Ryu-chan,” Daiki said as he tightened the hug.
“You didn’t tell me that you’re enrolled here,” Ryutaro whacked Daiki as they released the embrace.
“So do you!” Daiki returned the whack. “By the way, I’m only a freshman.”
“Ha..ha..me too. I just transferred here. Currently in year one,”
“So don’t blame me for not telling you. Because you are the same too!”
Ryutaro grinned upon hearing to Daiki’s complain. For some minutes, the two chatted non-stop. Sometimes, they burst into laugh.
“This upcoming summer break, will you go home?”
“What kind of question is that, Dai-chan? Of course I’m going home. Are you not?”
“If that so, let’s go home together!”
“No problem!” Ryutaro agreed as their homes were just a stone’s throw from each other.
“Ryu!”
The two almost-brothers-likes turned to see a girl was approaching them with a cylinder thing in her right grip.
“Miki?” Ryutaro frowned as he noticed the girl. “What she want?”
“You know her?” Daiki poked Ryutaro. Ryutaro avoided and nodded.
“Take a look! I created it myself!” Miki was panting as she handed the cylindrical metallic thing to Ryu.
“What is this?”
“A compound telescope!”
“Does it work?” Ryutaro doubtfully asked.
“It does!”
Ryutaro moved the so-called telescope nearer to his right eye and focused it to the sky. To his surprise, it worked! He could clearly saw the moon - as dusk was approaching.
“How do you do this?” Ryutaro asked as he analysed the device further.
“It’s simple! First, place two convex with different focal length next to each other. For this project, I use convex lenses with focal lengths of 10 cm and 5 cm respectively. The convex lens with focal length 10 cm is use as the objective lens while the other one - 5 cm focal length - is the eyepiece lens.
Make sure that the distance between the two lenses is equal to the sum of the focal lengths (in this case is 15 cm; 5 + 10 = 15). Make sure that the two focal length overlap.
And of course, you need its case too. The case can be made using cardboard or any suitable material. Now, let’s proceed on how it works.
When a light source from infinity (since we don’t know how far the space objects are, assume them as infinity) enter the objective lens, it will form a real image positioned exactly at the focal length. <--- focus on objective lens
The image of the objective lens will then be the object for the eyepiece lens. Since the focal length of the two lenses overlap, the object for the eyepiece lens is formed exactly at the focal length. Any object that is positioned on the focal length will refract a real image at infinity. <--- focus on eyepiece lens
So, that’s how it works until we can clearly see the far far away objects. Is it clear?” (This question is for you, dear readers XD)

here. I know it is stated as astronomical telescope. But, just I love it to be called compound telescope. Sorry XD]
The two boys nodded.
This girl is so great! But I’m great too - great shame!
* focal length : the curvature of the lens is actually a part of a circle. A circle must have diameter and radius. But, it is invisible in this case. Then, focal length is a distance from the curvature that is half of the radius. (Clear?)

“I befriend you sincerely. I have no hidden intention, Machi-chan,” Rui stood up, moved nearer the stone-like Machiko after listening to her confession.
Machiko’s eyes were glued on the floor. She hadn’t had the gut to face Rui anymore - not of her anger or what, but of her guilty feeling of thinking badly of her, a sincere friend.
“That incident you witnessed was totally unplanned. Who on earth would plan to paralyse herself just to get someone’s attention?” Her mature side became more obvious.
Still, Machiko was a living statue.
“I never have any feeling for him. What I did was of my job demand. That’s all,” Rui tried to convince her friend - a precious one!
“Believe me, Machi-chan! I will never snatch him from you. Wait!” Rui paused. “He’s not even yours, right?” she looked deep to her eyes.
Machiko had no choice other than agreeing with it - the fact that she got nothing to do with him.
“I…am….so..rry…, Rui,”
“Good that you realise it,” Rui sat down on her chair, so she could clearly her friend’s face. “Keep in mind that we are friends. A true friend won’t backstab her friend,”
Machiko gulped her own saliva. The last phrase was so painful to her.
“Promise me, you won’t repeat this stupid act,”
And it ended as they tied a promise.
A/N: Sorry for the extremely late update. Note that next update will take some time too. Now, I'm getting busy with school. But don't worry bcoz I'll continue do it whenever I have time.
_______________
Yesterday, someone confessed to me. And apparently it's Chinen. LOL. He said that over and over in the message XD LOL *faint*. By the way, I love Hikaru's message too. He's so cute!! with the 'aww' and 'bye 3x'. Obviously Daiki, Inoo, Ryutaro, Yuto and Chinen are hyper! Takaki sounded lazy and Yamada's voice just 'too cool' LOL Okay, enough of my babbling.
Anyway, comments are much appreciated~~~
