OMG QUICK!

Have we ever seen Kory bleed? I figure we probably have, but I can't think of when or how. Is it red?

I want these answers to be no, but I'll accept a yes. I just need to know.

wip of doom (big bang)

...I tried finding a pic of her bleeding but she doesn't bleed when Wonder Woman punches her D:

I have nothing.

Can't say I remember, though I expect she did in, say, the wedding issue of New Titans, during the throwdown with Raven.

It's PROBABLY red, but as I flip through the Periodic Table, other options, based on what her hemoglobin uses in place of iron, would be green (copper, cobalt, nickel, potassium-manganese), blue (cobalt), brown (cobalt), white (zinc), pale yellow (zinc), dark grey (nickel), milky white (zinc, aluminum, gallium), black (manganese), or magenta (potassium-manganese). (Thanks go to Wikipedia for reminding me of the colors of various metal oxides!)

Assuming she uses hemoglobin at all! Yay unexplained alien biology! Which is kind of the point of her little cameo in this fic...

In an amusing coincidence, this fic also contains a paragraph about mineral based pigments. How wacky is that?

Ditto - seen her dirty and with what's left of her uniform destroyed but no blood.

I think I'm gonna go with "Jessie makes shit up" at this point. ^_^ Even though the obvious answer seems to be that her species has no blood.

It could be that her species has a closed circulatory system, one that does not create new blood as it does not "age out". In a system like this bleeding would be beyond deadly with out an immediate source of transfusion. These systems also resist the active leaking of blood so one would not "see" her bleed. Her system would isolate it's circulatory functions to prevent this from happening.
Jaivette the RN and all round alien physiology geek. I even did a pseudoscientific paper on Kryptonian Physiology and created a race of biological comparable humanoid marsupials.

Oh, what fun! I love speculative biology.

Eventually I'm going to write the story where one of the alien heroes and one of the humans try to get hot and heavy and realize they aren't quite...anatomically compatible.
